  3. Welcome to "Cat Lady" a desktop theme creation by SyberGypsy.  All of SyberGypsy's themes are best displayed in 16=bit on a 800x600 screen. You also need Plus! or an equivalent to use this theme.

  6. This theme is freeware.  You may share this theme with others provided you do not remove this readme.txt file

  10. To install this theme:
  11.  
  12. 1. Run a decompression program like WinZip
  13. 2. Unzip all the files into your Theme file directory 
  14.    (usually c:\program files\plus!\themes)    
  15. 3. Run Microsoft Plus! or any other theme file installer and 
  16.    select 'Other' from the theme selection box.
  17. 4. Load the theme file that you just unzipped
  18. 5. To install the SCREENSAVER, just move it into your WINDOWS folder.

  21. This theme contains Wallpaper, sounds, cursors and icons and Logo Screens. The screensaver is by Howies Funware whose site can be found at:  http://www.enteract.com/~funware/

  23. Startup/shutdown screens are now available for some of my themes.  The best way is to employ a logo manager program such as ZDNet's Logo Manager for Windows 95 to use the screens. This is a useful and FREE
  24. utility that makes it all easy. Find it here:

  28. After installing you will have a new tab in your Properties dialog box calledLogos. If like doing thing the hard way and are familiar with changing the screens manually you can rename the *.bmp files back to *.sys files.

  32. To change a logo (startup/shutdown) screen (The scary way)
  33.  
  34. The first thing you will need to do is back up or rename your       older logo files for future use. There are 3 files you will need
  35. to rename if you wish to back them up. Here are the locations:

  37.          C:\logo.sys
  38.          C:\windows\logos.sys
  39.          C:\windows\logow.sys
  40.  
  41.          Rename these files to:
  42.  
  43.          C:\logo.backup
  44.          C:\windows\logos.backup
  45.          C:\windows\logow.backup
  46.  
  47.          Now rename the *.bmp files back to *.sys files then move the newer logo files into these directories to take the place of the logo files you just renamed.
